The Mary Peterson's Child Care Center approach is innovative and committed to enhance families through learning. Our goal is to facilitate learning and to encourage your child to be the best that they can be. The instructional team here is highly qualified and has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help your child thrive and transition in this environment. The Mary Peterson Child Care has been in existence and served Navarro County Community for over 75 years.

Mary Peterson's Child Care Center is confident by the time a child transitions into public school, he/she will have acquired the necessary skills, and met the state’s standard mastery for public education. This early childhood exposure will afford your child an opportunity to be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead in public school and beyond. In addition to teaching the state’s required standards for academic learning, they will be taught age appropriate high order thinking skills, problem solving skills, effective communication, and strategies for comprehension.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Mary Peterson's Child Care Center believes that all children were born capable to learn.Unfortunately, they will not all learn at the same rate of speed. The teachers at Mary Peterson's Child Care Center will offer differentiated learning opportunities to target each child’s unique learning modality. Children will be encouraged to soar and explore materials by participating in a variety of activities to spark their interest. We genuinely promote John Dewey’s theory, “children learn by doing”. Therefore, the children entrusted to Mary Peterson's Child Care Center will be actively engaged at all times, and the teachers will seek every opportunity to enhance learning even in the mist of dramatic play and fun times.
